SAFESTOR® Insurance

Safestor provides the broadest coverage and lowest premiums so you can have peace of mind knowing that your goods will be replaced should there be an unfortunate occurrence while they are in storage.Purchasing protection is optional. However, you are required to maintain insurance covering your goods for as long as they are in storage with us . 

Safestor offers low-cost coverage packages designed specifically for your goods while stored in our facility. They also provide a convenient pay with your rent program, so there is no additional forms to fill out or to mail.  

If your goods are worth storing, they are worth protecting. While A Storage Place takes precautions to provide a clean, dry and secure environment to store your property, we are not responsible for damage. Please don't assume that you are covered and be sure to check with your insurance carrier in regards to coverage.  

Safestor offers you a choice of four protection levels: 

$1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and $15,000 (protection is for actual cash value)

Safestor Covers Loss or Damage Caused by:

• Fire
• Smoke
• Lightning
• Hurricane
• Tornado
• Wind
• Burglary - Must be visible signs of forced entry and a police report must be filed.
• Hail
• Earthquake
• Building collapse
• Explosion
• Vandalism
• Leaking water
• Vermin

 Items not covered:

• Jewelry
• Financial records
• Currency
• Deeds & documents
• Works of art
• Antiques
• Securities
• Stamps
• Watches
• Precious stones
• Furs
• Garments trimmed w/ fur
• Motorized vehicles (licensed or not, such as motor scooters, ATVs, motorcycles, and/or lawnmowers)
• No coverage for loss caused by or resulting from war, flood (or surface water), or climatic conditions like rust or mildew
